This is a full-time role as an Electrical Engineering Team Lead - Building Services for a leading International multi-disciplinary design consultancy in Central London.

The company, one of the UK's Top Employers for 5 years in a row according to Top Employer Institute, is involved in high-profile and prestigious projects all over the world across various sectors. The role may involve some travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the team leader/partner, undertake and deliver high-quality detailed engineering design for electrical building services and power distribution systems.
  • Apply relevant legislation, standards, regulations, guides, and good practice for UK and international projects.
  • Take responsibility for specific areas of the design and project development, lead electrical engineering design for small and medium-sized projects.
  • Seek, complete, and record evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) in accordance with the requirements of the relevant professional institution.
  • Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner at all times, attending meetings with clients, project teams, contractors, etc.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Essential:
    • Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Chartered Engineer status or in final stage of registering (or validated overseas equivalent).
    • Solid technical understanding of own core engineering discipline and the role of the electrical engineer within the design team.
    • Broad understanding of other engineering disciplines engaged in the design of the built environment.
    • Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and industry standard design reference material.
    • Able to present, negotiate, and communicate well in graphical, written, or verbal forms, including ability to listen and understand others.
    • A flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and a proven commitment to independent, lifelong learning.
    • Self-organized and motivated.
    • Developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team.
    • Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
    • Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritize duties and work effectively under pressure.
    • Ability to use general and engineering-specific software for design and analysis.

Estimated salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
