About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established engineering consultancy that specializes in the rail sector. As a Geotechnical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to a wide range of projects, including site visits, scoping ground investigations (GI), and undertaking designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects and undertake checks on the designs of more junior engineers, demonstrating leadership abilities.
  • Design for both temporary and permanent works including bearing capacity assessment, slope stability assessment, and pile design.
  • Utilize your knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar drafting software to create detailed designs.
  • Drive projects to completion, ensuring quality and compliance with Eurocodes.

What We're Looking For:

  • A relevant degree in Civil Engineering/Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in geotechnical design to Eurocodes, enhancing your expertise in the field.
  • A full clean UK driving licence, enabling you to visit various project sites.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar drafting software, complementing your design skills.
  • Strong report writing abilities, allowing you to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
