About the Position
Teaching Personnel is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join our vibrant SEN school in Ashford. As a key member of our team, you will provide individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs, helping them reach their full potential.
Our school is a thriving educational institution committed to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment for all students. We cater to a wide range of special education needs, including Autistic Spectrum Conditions, social, emotional and mental health needs, language and communication needs, sensory processing needs, trauma, and Opposition Defiant Disorder.
You will work collaboratively with our experienced team of educators and support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic success and well-being.
- Deliver individualized support to students with SEN, using creative teaching methods to engage and motivate learners.
- Contribute to progress reviews, highlighting areas of success and identifying areas for improvement.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Develop strong relationships with pupils, providing emotional support and guidance to help them thrive.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential).
- Basic knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
- A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the school community.
