Warehouse Operations Manager

As a key member of the Redwood Search team, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse-related activities, ensuring seamless operations, and driving efficiency improvements.
Main Responsibilities:- Coordinate closely with Production Manager to schedule works and prioritize tasks.
- Maintain and drive high-quality product standards.
- Manage team activities, implement efficiency improvements, and ensure stock packaging and customer packaging are stored, maintained, and supplied to the highest standard.
- Coordinate business logistics, including finished products, waste, and recycling, as well as transporting raw materials.
- Manage the off-site warehouse and ensure same standards as the main site.
- Set out training plans for direct reports, ensure correct induction, and execute onboarding training.
- Work closely with Production, Purchasing, and other relevant departments to organize the efficient handling of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
- Assist Purchasing Manager and lead with company stock takes.
- Communicate warehouse challenges to senior management when required.
- Carry out annual safety training for Warehouse and Production Teams.
- Provide holiday cover for the Production Manager when required.
- Plan weekly vehicle schedules, ensure effective use of company vehicles, and resources.
- Complete annual driver assessment checks every 6 and 12 months.
- Work closely with Quality Manager to ensure all business accreditations are adhered to.
- Monitor and enforce department and business Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality requirements.
- Arrange yearly appraisals and catch-ups with the team, identifying opportunities for improvement, targets, and new responsibilities.
- Create Warehouse and Health and Safety reports as required by the business, including Near misses and accidents.
- Create and update storage and warehouse floor plans and standards, including product line capacity.
- Work with Quality Manager to ensure Warehouse H&S and quality standards are met.

- Resolve Issues in a Timely Manner.
- Effective Communicator.
- Computer Literate. Previous use of Sage 200 would be an advantage.
- Performance Management.
- Warehouse Knowledge.
- HSEQ experience.
