We are seeking an experienced Reliability and Maintainability Engineer to join our client's team in Warton, Carnforth. As part of a dynamic international team, you will contribute to the development of Prognostics, Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (PHUMS) for the FCAS and GCAP fighter jet programmes.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work on complex, high-priority projects and engage with customers and industry experts to capture user and system requirements. You will be responsible for contributing to concepts, philosophies, and specifications for PHUMS implementation, management, and delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop PHUMS engineering solutions and provide input to a fast-paced programme
  • Elicit and understand user and system requirements for FCAS & GCAP PHUM System
  • Contribute to strategies and plans throughout the lifecycle for PHUMS solution development and implementation
  • Ensure integration of PHUMS solution with other product and service development areas on the programme
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • HND Level 5 or Degree qualified in a relevant engineering field (or demonstrable professional experience)
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches and tools (e.g. MooD or CAMEO, SysML, MagicGrid)
Desirable Skills

A background in diagnostic, prognostic, health and usage monitoring technologies and techniques, as well as experience in generating requirements and specifications for airborne systems, would be highly desirable.

About the Benefits

The salary for this position is £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, plus benefits and hybrid working arrangements that include three days per week required on-site.
