Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team at Glenroyd Medical Practice. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration
    • Manage patient records, including updating and maintaining accurate and confidential information
    • Process and manage correspondence, including letters and emails
    • Perform data entry tasks, including patient registration and demographic updates
    • Assist with the preparation of reports and statistics
    • Ensure compliance with practice policies and procedures
  • Reception
    • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling patient inquiries
    • Manage the reception area, including maintaining a clean and organized environment
    • Assist with the coordination of appointments, including scheduling and rescheduling
    • Handle patient payments and process transactions
    • Ensure accurate and efficient handling of patient information
  • Appointments
    • Manage the appointment schedule, including booking and rescheduling appointments
    • Ensure accurate and efficient handling of appointment information
    • Assist with the coordination of patient flow, including managing waiting lists and ensuring timely appointments
  • Computer
    • Manage patient records, including updating and maintaining accurate and confidential information
    • Perform data entry tasks, including patient registration and demographic updates
    • Assist with the preparation of reports and statistics
  • Telephone
    • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
    • Manage patient communications, including emails and letters

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a medical reception or administration role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
