Accounts Payable Transaction Controller

Our client, a family-run business with a strong customer-centric approach, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Transaction Controller to join their finance team. Based in Amersham, this role offers a great work-life balance with up to six days of home working per month.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of estate supplier reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies with landlords and suppliers.
  • Processing high volumes of supplier invoices onto the financial system, including stock and overheads.
  • Accurate matching of stock invoices to receipts, ensuring correct quantities, prices, and currencies.
  • Investigating and resolving matching discrepancies.
  • Liaising with internal departments to resolve pricing and stock queries.
  • Ensuring trade and settlement discounts are correct.
  • Supporting with processing domestic stock ledgers and overhead invoices.
Requirements:
  • Solid experience in accounts payable, with a focus on high-volume processing and accuracy.
  • Experience in managing reporting data and analysis.
  • Skilled in reviewing and resolving statement discrepancies.
  • Experience working with foreign suppliers and stock matching.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Experience using Unit4 or similar accounting packages.
