The Role

We're seeking a seasoned professional with expertise in risk management to join our Global, Corporate and Speciality lines business area. As a Senior Manager - Risk, Governance and Conduct, you'll be responsible for establishing risk policies and procedures, developing risk appetite statements, and providing oversight and reporting to senior management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing guidance on risk and control matters, commercial growth initiatives, and change.
  • Foster a good risk culture by raising awareness about the importance of risk management and control across GCS.
  • Ensure the ongoing provision of risk management advice and guidance to guarantee sound business decisions are made.
  • Interpret and apply framework requirements to align with business objectives.
  • Set and chair the risk functional risk forums, including the agenda through to identification and management of risks proactively.
  • Evaluate the control environment to enhance existing controls and processes to ensure they align with business standards and policies.
  • Simplify processes.

Requirements

  • London Market or Lloyds experience within the General Insurance sector is essential.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels, with proven business partnering experience.
  • A proven track record of influencing C-Suite and senior stakeholders on all things Risk and Conduct, including 1st and 2nd line.
  • Knowledge of the General Insurance market and associated regulatory frameworks.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify the root cause and resolve performance blockages.

What We Offer

  • Starting salary circa £110,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
