About the Opportunity: We have an exciting temporary full-time position available for a Dietetic Assistant to join our Nutrition and Dietetics team. As a Dietetic Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality Nutrition and Dietetic Service to patients, working closely with dietitians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  1. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Dietetic and Catering teams to support patient dietary needs, including therapeutic diets.
  2. You will be responsible for managing stock and distribution of dietetic supplies, ensuring effective coordination with material management and procurement teams.
  3. Providing training to nursing staff on nutritional screening, basic nutrition, and therapeutic diet options is a key responsibility.
  4. Conduct patient education sessions on nutrition, focusing on chronic disease management and weight reduction.
  5. The successful candidate will support the dietetic team in administrative duties, such as filing, booking meetings, and managing dietary resources.
  6. You will maintain a small caseload, under supervision, to assess and manage basic nutritional support for patients.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  1. Previous experience in a healthcare or nutrition support role is highly desirable.
  2. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail are essential for managing dietary supplies and stock.
  3. Effective communication skills are required for interacting with healthcare professionals and providing patient education.
  4. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team is crucial.
