Project Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team in the Bristol area. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planner to take on a challenging role, working on medium to large tenders and sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain fully linked project programs for site, tender or prequalification purposes to identify critical path, float, risk and opportunity.
- Conduct thorough analysis of large volumes of information to ensure optimum sequencing for project delivery.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the planning team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Undertake high-level technical appraisal of other planners' work to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective planning and organization of works.
- Challenge and verify suppliers' and subcontractors' programs and methodologies to ensure alignment with company standards.
- Determine requirements for site set-up and prepare phasing, logistics, and timeslices as required by tender deliverables.
- Prepare and analyze scaffold, temporary services, crane enquiries, quotations, and other related documents.
- Identify requirements for temporary works and liaise with temporary works coordinators to obtain design and costings.
- Liaise with estimating teams to ensure accurate pricing and attendance checks.
- Assist with PM reports and weekly progress monitoring, ensuring timely submission of planning and control sections.
- Ensure client reporting requirements are met consistently, providing high-quality information to stakeholders.
- Independently assess progress against programs and report findings to senior management.
- Update project programs in line with contracts and identify risks against baseline.
- Develop and implement change control processes, communicating requirements across teams.
- Prepare cause-and-effect programs and narratives to assess impact on the program.
- Optimize document distribution using document control systems.
- Establish effective relationships with the supply chain to drive continuous improvement in productivity.
- Actively target opportunities to exceed customer expectations, delivering exceptional service.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing events to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
- Contribute to planning input into PEP documentation, client-specific documents, and other relevant materials.
- Work closely with commercial teams to ensure effective management of total costs.
- Understand business needs for positive cash flow and plan works accordingly.
- Be aware of resource requirements for the planning team and collaborate with project managers to meet these needs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Planner in construction projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High level of technical expertise in project planning and programming
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience
