We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at The Chesterford Group in Bishops Stortford. This is a fixed-term contract of 14 months, providing maternity cover and ensuring a seamless handover before and after the new mother returns to work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Accounts department with a wide range of tasks, including accounting, reconciliation, administration, and reporting. They will also be responsible for maintaining data integrity within our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Finance Manager and the rest of the Finance Team with accounting, reconciliation, administration, and reporting
  • Support the preparation of Board packs for month-end, annual budgeting, and quarterly forecasting
  • Prepare and monitor weekly cash flow forecasts
  • Manage prepayments, accruals, and depreciation
  • Conduct bank reconciliations
  • Process monthly inter-company recharges
  • Produce and issue weekly flash reports
  • Support with marketman-data entry and static data updates
  • Assist with invoice processing
  • Issue weekly and monthly reports to the Operations Team
  • Answer Operational Manager queries
  • Provide holiday cover for Team Members
  • Assist the Financial Controller and Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks and reports

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's (including Maths and English A-C grade), A Levels, and/or Degree desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Good telephone manner for handling queries over the phone
  • Experience of working in an accounts team, preferably in a retail/hospitality environment
