The Role
This exciting opportunity within our Alternatives business will see you working as a London-based lawyer supporting Private Credit activities. Your expertise will be invaluable in transaction support and execution for debt deals, involving mid and large cap leveraged finance transactions, structured credit investments and restructurings.
You'll provide critical advice during the investment life cycle, from structuring to deal documentation, diligence review, regulatory consideration and asset management support. This role requires extensive interaction with investment professionals and colleagues across compliance, tax, credit and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide transactional advice on credit transactions including mid and large cap leveraged finance deals, structured credit investments, opportunistic credit and restructurings.
- Work closely with investment professionals and colleagues on regulatory projects affecting the Alternatives business.
- Support the platform's fundraising activities.
- Manage external counsel and coordinate efforts to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Strong team player skills with dynamic initiative and proactive approach in a fast-paced environment.
- Qualifications in UK, US or EU law (or similar).
- 1-4 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in-house or on secondment.
- European cross-border transaction experience and general banking knowledge are advantageous.
