Senior Private Credit Lawyer

We are seeking a qualified Senior Private Credit Lawyer to join our Global Private Assets team at Barings. As a member of our Legal Team, you will play a critical role in supporting our highly successful Private Assets business.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of PQE experience, with recent experience working in leveraged loans. You should be familiar with credit documentation, including grids, term sheets, and commitment letters, as well as Loan Market Association standard documents.

Additionally, you will have experience working with distressed credits and supporting workouts and restructurings. Strong organizational skills, commercial approach, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

As a key member of our team, you will provide day-to-day support to European and APAC private credit, capital solutions, portfolio finance, private placement, and infrastructure deal teams and portfolio managers. You will also provide internal legal advice to new and existing Barings investment funds and managed accounts.

The successful candidate will be able to build relationships with and work alongside teams within the business, including Product Management, Distribution, Operations, Compliance, and Risk functions. You will also manage and maintain relationships with preferred legal advisors.
