Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a large team of quality professionals in implementing quality systems and processes.
- First point of contact for all OEM and internal customer concerns, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement 8D problem-solving activities to address customer concerns and delegate work to the team.
- Audit systems and processes to IATF16949 standard, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
- Analyze quality defect data to improve quality processes and reduce defects.
- Collaborate with internal business functions to support NPI activities across APQP and PPAP submissions.
Requirements:
- Proven management experience in a quality role within an automotive tier 1 or OEM background.
- HNC/ Degree in a technical subject or equivalent professional level qualification.
- Excellent knowledge of quality systems, particularly IATF16949.
- Strong communication skills, both internally and with demanding OEM customers.
- Excellent grasp of quality problem-solving tools, including APQP, 8D, MSA, 5Whys, and root cause analysis.
- Lean six sigma tools - green belt certification preferred.
- Demonstrate leadership ability to coach and build self-confidence in the team.
