About the Role

The Energy Recovery Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician to contribute to reducing the UK's energy gap and increasing landfill diversion.

As an Energy Recovery Technician, you will assist the Senior Environmental Engineer in implementing and monitoring day-to-day requirements across three ERFs. Your responsibilities will include supporting the ERF management team in meeting their obligations with respect to environmental monitoring and reporting, and ensuring that monitoring and testing are planned and carried out in a timely manner.

You will also be responsible for producing reports as required under the Environmental Permit and other regulations, and liaising with third-party contractors for the delivery of the environmental monitoring programme. A strong understanding of environmental permitting and Waste Incineration regulations would be beneficial in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Environmental Engineer in managing Environmental and Quality systems across three ERFs
  • Support the ERF management team in meeting obligations related to environmental monitoring and reporting
  • Ensure monitoring and testing are planned and carried out in a timely manner
