About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Support Worker to join our team at Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS). As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support to victims of domestic abuse, working closely with social workers and family support workers in the Social Care Gloucester Multi Agency Team (GMAT).

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete domestic abuse risk assessments and provide support to individuals who are or have been experiencing domestic abuse.
  • Work closely with social workers and family support workers to provide a seamless multi-agency service to vulnerable children and their families.
  • Offer training around domestic abuse issues and share good practice with Social Care staff based at GMAT.

Requirements

  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent, with a Social Work or Domestic Abuse Qualification or similar.
  • Previous experience of working with vulnerable people and direct experience of domestic abuse risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
