Leading Payroll and HR Services Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our payroll and HR services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high-performing team to establish and embed best practice in payroll and HR services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the payroll and HR services team to deliver a consistently high level of support to staff across the University.
  • Manage regular reporting to HMRC and ensure all Tax Year-End procedures are run.
  • Lead support to University colleagues on payroll matters.
  • Oversee the implementation of required changes to the HR and payroll system.
  • Ensure compliance and updating of SOPs for all payrolls.

The role will involve working closely with the Assistant HR Director to develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll and HR services.

We estimate that the salary for this role will be around £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
