About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our ScS Reporting Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases and data integration solutions to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex SQL queries to extract data for Power BI visualisation
  • Analyse and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to improve performance and efficiency
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular maintenance, backup, and recovery processes
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that support business objectives
  • Develop and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and visualise data through Microsoft Power BI to provide insight on trends and opportunities
  • Implement and maintain database security protocols to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with data protection regulations
  • Play an active role in fault resolution (e.g. data pipeline failures) occurring in the operation of software, especially those requiring greater expertise
  • Responsible for end-to-end data lifecycle
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or minimum of 3 years of experience as an SQL Developer or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with Microsoft SQL Server with a strong knowledge of T-SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions
  • Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
  • Familiarity with database design principles and normalization
  • Understanding of indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning techniques
  • Ability to deliver data insights via Power BI or similar visualisation tools
