Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team as a Functional Assessor. In this role, you will use your clinical expertise to conduct thorough assessments of individuals with various disabilities and health conditions.

About the Job

As a Physiotherapist Functional Assessor at Maximus, you will work on complex cases involving chronic pain disorders and neurological, physical, and mental health conditions. You will be responsible for conducting telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Conduct thorough assessments to gather information about an individual's disability or health condition.
  2. Produce detailed reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions determine a person's eligibility for benefits.
  3. Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with regular feedback and supervision.

Requirements

  • A valid HCPC registration number.
  • At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience gained within or outside of the NHS.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.
