About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Plymouth Community Homes. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our growth aspirations by ensuring that statutory financial accounting is complete and effective.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day financial accounting activities of the association are effectively and legally carried out. You will need to have strong technical accounting knowledge and skills, as well as the drive and energy to take us where we want to be, while ensuring we remain fully compliant.

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate significant experience of working in an Accountancy Environment and be a fully qualified member of a CCAB Accountancy Body.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing Statutory Financial Statements and VAT Returns
  • Maintaining Complex Asset Registers and Balance Sheet Controls
  • Preparing Management Accounts
  • Ensuring a good understanding of current and emerging Accounting Standards
