Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team at Exertis (UK) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial and commercial support to the business, working closely with the UK Financial Controller and other members of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of month-end reporting packs for VacSax and Fannin UK, including Plc submissions, working capital reporting, and capital expenditure reporting.
  • Month-end close tasks, including posting of journals such as Accruals, Prepayments, and Overhead accruals.
  • Assistance with the annual budgeting process and weekly sales forecasting.
  • Bi-weekly/monthly aged debt reporting and assistance with financial reporting and liaison with external audit.
  • Support the accounts payable/accounts receivable/payroll functions in provision of services to the business.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements for the division's legal entities.
  • Assistance with Internal Audit queries and resolution of issues relevant to the business.
  • Participation in systems and process review changes and improvements.
  • KPI management across Fannin UK and VacSax.
Requirements:
  • Full or part-time qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) with previous accounting experience in a similar role.
  • Instinctively analytical with a high attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • IT literate with MS Office skills, including intermediate-level Excel experience.
  • First-class communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Previous experience working with SAP or SAGE would be an advantage.
  • Strong work ethic and good attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
  • A full UK driving licence is required due to some ad-hoc travel.
