About the Role

Food Alert Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Safety and Health Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting food safety and health inspections and records audits at clients' premises, producing reports, and providing training and support to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct food safety and health inspections and records audits at clients' premises
  • Produce reports for clients based on these audits and inspections
  • Conduct risk assessments (occupational, manual handling, personal protective equipment) within hospitality client premises
  • Carry out client-specific training and implement our ALERT65 compliance platform
  • Act as Account Manager for a number of clients, providing support and guidance as needed
  • Investigate allegations of food poisoning, allergic reactions, and foreign bodies
  • Assist with the delivery of the Food Alert Advice Line, responding to requests for advice within set time frames
  • Provide feedback to Account Managers to improve relationships between Food Alert and clients
Requirements
  • Relevant food safety and health knowledge and experience (usually minimum BSc Environmental Health or equivalent industry experience plus professional qualifications)
  • Experience of conducting food safety and health audits of hospitality premises with a focus on hotels, restaurants, pubs, and bars
