Job Description

Financial Accountant Responsibilities

  • Prepare, examine, and analyse financial reports and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Perform general bookkeeping, ensuring timely and efficient financial management.

  • Ensure financial reporting deadlines are met, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities, demonstrating strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

  • Continuously manage and support budget and forecast activities, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.

  • Monitor and support taxation requirements, staying up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the audit process, ensuring seamless collaboration with external auditors.

  • Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses, providing a comprehensive understanding of the company's financial performance.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a qualified Financial Accountant with:

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance, with a passion for numbers and financial analysis.

  • Studying towards a professional accounting qualification from an accredited body, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and development.

  • Experience with financial reporting standards, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting, including budgets, forecasts, and taxation.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

  • Positive, proactive, and can-do attitude towards tasks and challenges, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting deadlines and priorities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint, with SAP knowledge desirable but not essential.
