About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a leading Primary SEND/SEMH Provision in West London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teaching assistant to work with students who have social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, and possibly other special educational needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting young people with SEMH needs and be passionate about working with vulnerable youth.

About the School

Our school is a specialist provision for students with an Educational Health Care Plan where the primary needs are SEMH difficulties.

We aim to provide a family atmosphere where pupils and families feel supported, and we take a holistic approach to the child's learning journey.

Our students are encouraged to participate in a wide range of sporting events and clubs, and other extra-curricular activities that build social and personal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • To work to support the learning of children in the class, including individual, small and large groups as directed.
  • To monitor, assess and support children that have social, emotional and/or mental health difficulties, and possibly other special educational needs.
  • To be flexible and willing to take on all challenges.
Requirements

We are seeking a strong, confident and compassionate candidate who is passionate about working with vulnerable youth.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting young people with SEMH needs and be familiar with the national curriculum.

We are looking for someone who is nurturing, creative, and dynamic, with a strong ability to build relationships with students and staff.
