About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hair and Nails Educator to join our team at Dovetail and Slate Ltd. As a key member of our education department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs in hairdressing and nail qualifications to adult learners in a prison setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of learners, including those with basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews to ensure learners are meeting their individual learning goals and make adjustments to the curriculum as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes learner engagement and retention.
  • Stay up-to-date with current teaching and learning strategies, best practices, and industry developments to ensure our programs remain relevant and effective.
  • Communicate effectively with learners, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure seamless program delivery and administration.
Requirements
  • Five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics.
  • A Degree or professional qualification relevant to the role.
  • A recognized Teaching Qualification or willingness to obtain one within the first two years of service.
  • Excellent team working, communication, and interpersonal skills.
