The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Tutor to join our team. As an Outreach Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing education and mentoring to students who require additional support due to SEN, SEMH, or risk of permanent exclusion. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-to-one and group sessions in subjects including basic Maths, English, PSHE, interventions, and mentoring
  • Conduct sessions at pupils' homes, local libraries, and schools
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure seamless support for students
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Literacy and Maths
  • Experience working with children, including those with SEND
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
