About the Role:

Prospero Teaching is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tutor to provide Maths and English support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a 1:1 setting. The successful candidate will work with students who have been out of mainstream education for some time and require additional support to reintegrate into education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Maths and English support to students in a 1:1 setting
  • Assess students' current ability and develop a personalized learning plan to support their educational needs
  • Work with students to reintroduce education into their routine and develop a love of learning
  • Collaborate with the student's support team to ensure a comprehensive approach to their educational needs
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, making adjustments to the learning plan as needed

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with SEN or disengaged pupils
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Strong understanding of SEN and ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
