About the Role

We're looking for someone with proven HR experience who is eager to provide advice and guidance on all HR matters, including employee relations, policy interpretation, people development, absence management, and reward. The ideal candidate will be able to prepare case information for formal meetings, work with investigating officers, and lead employee support processes.

This fixed-term contract (initially 3 months) has the potential for longer-term commitment. We offer a highly flexible and hybrid working policy, making it an attractive opportunity for those seeking a better work-life balance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HR matters, ensuring compliance with UK Employment law legislation.
  • Prepare comprehensive case information for formal meetings, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Work closely with the Investigating Officer during disciplinary proceedings, providing employment law and policy guidance.
  • Lead employee support processes, including welfare meetings and occupational health referrals.
  • Collaborate with the Training team to manage the onboarding process from start to finish.
  • Support team managers in probationary reviews, confirming outcomes in writing.
  • Contribute to HR projects as required.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous experience as a HR Officer or Advisor.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK Employment law legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A values-driven approach to work.
