Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Woods Foodservice Limited. As a key member of our sales department, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and identifying new business opportunities.

With a strong track record in customer relationship management and a commercial mindset, you will be able to identify and capitalize on new revenue streams while delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, preferably in the food industry, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Around 70% of your time will be spent on customer relationship management, which includes:

  • Proactively cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Understanding customer goals and objectives and identifying opportunities for revenue growth that meet their needs.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and acting as a trusted advisor, identifying potential opportunities, including upselling.
  • Focusing on customer needs and satisfaction, finding win-win opportunities for the client and company, especially in terms of revenue growth.

Around 20% of your time will be dedicated to business development, which includes:

  • Identifying and targeting potential clients/customers while following the company's business goals, KPIs, and strategy for growth.
  • Completing customer tenders when needed, including pricing and financials required.
  • Conducting market research to find untapped opportunities.
  • Creating compelling proposals and presentations.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE). The salary range is negotiable based on experience.
