About the Role

We're a leading renewable energy company, and we're looking for a skilled Solar Solution Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in driving our mission to create a future where everyone has access to affordable, zero-carbon energy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct solar resource assessments and energy yield assessments to inform project development;
  • Lead the techno-economic optimization of solar projects, including solar PV system design and its impact on Balance of System;
  • Perform miscellaneous analyses in support of project development;
  • Provide input into EPC contracts and other technical information related to design, commissioning, and performance;
  • Support subsequent evaluation and ad-hoc analysis, as well as tool development.
Requirements
  • Experience working on utility-scale solar PV projects, either as a developer, EPC contractor, or technical advisor/owner engineer;
  • System-wide design expertise, including PV design, string sizing, inverter loading ratios, energy modeling, and layouts;
  • Collaboration skills for multi-disciplinary projects;
  • Proficiency in PVSyst or other PV simulation software;
  • Experience with performance testing of solar PV, designing for constructability and installation, and providing technical input into EPC contracts;
  • GIS and programming language skills (e.g., Python) are advantageous.
