About the Role

We're a leading renewable energy company, and we're looking for a skilled Solar Solution Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in designing and optimizing solar projects to meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct solar resource assessments and energy yield assessments to ensure the optimal performance of our solar projects.
  • Lead the techno-economic optimization of solar projects, including solar PV system design and its impact on Balance of System.
  • Perform miscellaneous analyses in support of project development, including collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide input into EPC contracts and other technical information related to design, commissioning, and performance.
  • Support the evaluation of solar projects and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience working on utility-scale solar PV projects, with a strong understanding of system-wide design, including PV design, string sizing, inverter loading ratios, energy modeling, and layouts.
  • Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with PVSyst or other PV simulation software, as well as performance testing of solar PV systems.
  • Degree-level qualification in an engineering or science discipline.
