About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out solar resource assessments and energy yield assessments to inform project development;
  • Lead the techno-economic optimization of solar projects, including solar PV system design and its impact on Balance of System;
  • Conduct miscellaneous analyses in support of project development;
  • Provide input into EPC contracts and other technical information related to design, commissioning, and performance;
  • Support subsequent evaluation and ad-hoc analysis;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in solar PV design and optimization.
Requirements
  • Experience working on utility-scale solar PV projects, either as a developer, EPC contractor, or technical advisor/owner engineer;
  • Strong understanding of system-wide design, including PV design, string sizing, inverter loading ratios, energy modeling, and layouts;
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working on multi-disciplinary projects;
  • Proficiency in PVSyst or other PV simulation software;
  • Experience with performance testing of solar PV and designing for constructability and installation would be an advantage;
  • Degree-level qualification in an engineering or science discipline.
