Health Services Manager

Job Summary:
The Commonwealth of Virginia seeks a highly skilled Medical Director to lead its Student Health Services team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide primary health care services to students, including medical consultation and supervision of mid-level providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical consultation and supervision to mid-level providers
- Cover for Medical Director in their absence, including supervision of clinical supervisor and laboratory supervisor
- Develop and implement healthcare policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in primary care
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited medical school with successful completion of primary care residency program
- Licensed to practice or eligible for licensure as a physician in the state of Virginia
- Board certified in a primary care specialty
- Current DEA license
- Satisfactory review by the National Practitioner Databank
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current basic life support CPR certification
- Experience in a college health setting, experience with sports medicine and women's health
