Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Lead to join our team at Norfolk Care. As a Service Lead, you will be responsible for leading the operational performance of our services, ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained, and promoting a culture of excellence within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational performance of our services, identifying and escalating potential risks, and contributing to the management of these risks.
  • Ensure the quality and compliance of all activities and actions related to the support of individuals, adhering to our Quality Framework and undertaking audits as necessary.
  • Develop and implement a continuous improvement approach to our Quality Framework, empowering your team to do their best work and creating an environment that promotes Norfolk Care as a great place to work.
  • Undertake coaching and mentoring sessions with your team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Effectively manage budgets, including staff costs and non-staffing costs, ensuring the financial sustainability of our services.
  • Ensure that everyone has the means to express their needs and wishes, and that methods of communication are clearly recorded and shared with all members of the team.
  • Work in partnership with individuals, their advocates, family, friends, and significant others to ensure that the best interests of each person we support are at the centre of any decisions made about their life.
  • Develop and deliver local recruitment and retention plans across the cluster of services you are responsible for.

Requirements

  • Possess a Care Certificate, a Diploma in Health and Social Care, or a related qualification.
  • Level 3 QCF or willingness to undertake.
  • Significant experience of supporting people with a learning disability or mental health issue and working in partnership with families and significant others.
  • Awareness and understanding of diversity issues, including non-discriminatory practice.
  • Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues within the workplace.
  • Literacy skills (for report writing), verbal skills (for communication), and numeracy skills (for managing budgets).
