About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Aviation and Retail vertical, driving business and technology convergence to deliver value and solve industry challenges. As Head of Industry, you'll play a critical role in helping us innovate and deliver cutting-edge solutions in these sectors.

As a consultative seller, you'll leverage your domain expertise to develop and strengthen relationships with clients, positioning BJSS as a market leader. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with clients to harness innovation and creativity for competitive advantage
  • Positioning BJSS as a world-class advisor in the Aviation and Retail sectors
  • Building a strong network of business decision-makers
  • Driving sales and long-term growth
  • Mentoring the Aviation, Retail, and Consumer Industry team

You'll lead the vertical by defining, prospecting, and closing client-specific solution sales, enabling first-mover advantage in a competitive global market. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing the vertical vision and direction
  • Building credibility with hyperscale cloud partners
  • Creating joint go-to-market propositions
  • Developing a robust industry plan
  • Nurturing senior-level relationships on strategic accounts
  • Helping develop IP and best practices
  • Approaching clients as true business partners
About You

We're looking for a hands-on, non-hierarchical operator with extensive Aviation experience and a strong network of business decision-makers. You'll have excellent consultative skills, the ability to lead teams, and communicate complex ideas clearly. Your industry knowledge should include strategy, business development, account management, and thought leadership.

You'll thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and have the following experience and attributes:

  • Ability to lead clients through the sales cycle
  • High energy level, sense of urgency, and decisiveness
  • Significant network across Aviation and consumer-facing businesses
  • Track record in converting business contacts into revenue streams
  • Ability to read people accurately and assess strengths, weaknesses, and potential
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Objective, fact-based approach to problem-solving
  • Driven by values and integrity
  • Ability to influence and persuade across multiple stakeholders
  • UK commercial experience required
