Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Louise Hewett Recruitment is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. This role is integral to driving the test automation and performance strategy within a fast-paced, growing Platform as a Service team. You will own the quality assurance process and mentor fellow QA team members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality tools and services to support wider delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute a vision for the QA capability within the platform team, continuously evolving test practices in collaboration with other QA and Engineering teams.
  • Implement and lead a comprehensive testing strategy across all areas, establishing relevant processes and tools to facilitate rapid feedback loops.
  • Validate cross-functional requirements such as accessibility, usability, and availability through effective testing methodologies.
  • Strategize and design holistic test automation frameworks to enable faster and continuous delivery of high-quality software.
  • Conduct performance testing to validate various application performance requirements and manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Strong, demonstrable quality analyst experience, including QA leadership experience.
  • Extensive experience implementing QA automation frameworks and performance engineering to support CI/CD processes.
  • Proficiency in training and delegating test automation tasks and processes to team members.
  • Familiarity with continuous inspection tooling for code quality and automated quality reporting dashboards.
  • Experience working within cross-functional delivery teams and understanding of evolutionary architecture testing.
