Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

Lakeridge Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal patient care, vital signs, and physical assessments
  • Administer medications and monitor IVs
  • Set up medical equipment and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Participate in the Float Pool, Multidisciplinary Team, and Nursing Team at the Oshawa and Whitby site
  • Maintain competence and professionalism relevant to current practice
Qualifications:
  • Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (in good standing)
  • Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited community college
  • Current B.C.L.S. certificate
  • Recent medical-surgical experience and evidence of recent related continuing education
  • Coronary Care I course (Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation) required or must enroll within 6 months of commencing in position and successfully complete within 18 months of commencing in position
Conditions of Employment:
  • The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and C.U.P.E Local 6364
  • Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months
