About This RoleAs our Senior Financial Analyst, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Head of Finance by overseeing and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial activities within the organization. This includes maintaining up-to-date financial records, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure completeness and accuracy of month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments.
- Maintain the integrity of data contained in management accounts.
- Oversee and approve internal reconciliations and ensure the integrity of the balance sheet.
- Provide a link between FP&A and Finance teams to ensure a full understanding of all activities against budgets and assist with information for forecasting.
- Help ensure the department is compliant with current legislation and meets all mandatory deadlines.
- Maintain and update company accounting policies and ensure compliance.
- Play a key role in preparation of audit information.
- Streamline and improve processes and reports, including assisting in system development activities.
- Support the Head of Finance with ad-hoc projects.
- A qualified accountant, ideally CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
- Experience in a similar role dealing with a wide and varied range of duties.
- Experience with an ERP system is favourable, with NetSuite experience being an asset.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel (managing and building spreadsheets, creating charts, and using advanced formulas).
- The ability to multitask and effectively manage workload.
- Experience of supporting and mentoring staff.
- Good attention to detail and strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- The ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
