About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Kota Collective, a renowned restaurant group in Cornwall. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and driving business growth and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the kitchen department and team, including recruitment, induction, training, and appraisals.
  • Create and develop new menu items and recipes, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Ensure all kitchen operations are efficient, effective, and compliant with food safety regulations.
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain a 5-star food hygiene score.
  • Control wage costs and create kitchen rotas to ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Work closely with the Business Owner and Senior Leadership Team to drive business growth and planning.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a similar-sized business.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Understanding of departmental finances, including wage costs.
  • Experience managing a successful food hygiene plan.
