About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our team at Chartwells. As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food products to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and the delivery of high-quality food products.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food safety and quality standards are met, and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.
  • Menu Development: Work with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of food and supplies to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and that waste is minimized.
  • Team Development: Develop and train the kitchen team to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Sous Chef or in a similar role.
  • Qualifications: A culinary qualification such as a City & Guilds or NVQ in culinary arts.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
