Early Years SEN Teacher Specialist School White City
We are seeking an experienced Early Years SEN Teacher to join our team at a specialist school in White City. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on the early development of children with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging, play-based activities that cater to the unique developmental needs of each child, promoting their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth in a fun and interactive manner.
- Collaborate closely with a supportive team of SEN professionals, including teaching assistants and specialists, to deliver personalized learning experiences that help each child achieve their individual developmental milestones.
- Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment where children feel valued, respected, and encouraged to explore their interests, fostering a love for learning from a young age.
- Engage in ongoing assessment and observation of student progress, utilizing insights to adapt teaching strategies and interventions to meet each child's evolving needs effectively.
- Participate in continuous professional development opportunities, including school-led training sessions focused on the latest SEN best practices, equipping you with the tools and knowledge necessary to support diverse learners.
Requirements:
- A qualified teacher status (QTS) with experience in early years education; experience in a special educational needs setting is highly desirable to ensure an understanding of the unique challenges faced by young learners.
- A creative, patient, and compassionate approach to teaching, with a passion for developing engaging, age-appropriate activities that support and inspire young children in their learning journey.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively with SEN staff, support professionals, and parents to build a comprehensive support network for each child.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive educational environment that respects and values the individual strengths and needs of all children, adapting teaching methods accordingly.
- A current and clear Enhanced DBS check is required to ensure the safety and well-being of all students in your care.
