About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Prosthetic Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide clinical, technical, and advisory services to patients undergoing reconstructive procedures or rehabilitation using implants, splints, and prostheses.
  • Liaise with team members to schedule patients' clinical appointments and surgical procedures.
  • Organise own clinical sessions and ensure quality control of work produced within the patient environment.
  • Provide clinical and technical support and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Coordinate treatment plans, timetabling of clinical/technical procedures, discharge from care, and referrals to other departments as needed.
Person Specification

Essential Qualifications:

  • A recognised qualification in maxillofacial prosthetics or a related field.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Possession of a relevant postgraduate degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in maxillofacial prosthetics or a related field.

Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of maxillofacial prosthetics principles, techniques, and materials.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, health insurance, and generous annual leave entitlement.
