Job Summary:

MW Appointments is seeking a skilled Claims Executive to join their Commercial Claims team in Hertfordshire. As a Claims Executive, you will be responsible for servicing the claims needs of customers and ensuring that all issues relating to the claims process are dealt with proactively.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Handle a caseload of Commercial Retail claims, registering new claims accurately on company computer systems and updating records during the life of the claim.
  • Ensure all claims and correspondence, on delegated authority cases, are correctly maintained and provide a clear and concise history of events, actions, and quantum assessment.
  • Obtain and submit completed Client claim documentation to Insurers or nominated service providers promptly.
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and effectively deal with all enquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Process incoming post within agreed service standards.
  • Deal with Client enquiries within designated time frames or as otherwise agreed with Client.
  • Communicate effectively with Insurers, nominated service providers, engineers, and Loss Adjusters.
  • Provide advice and assistance to Clients to actively manage the claim process and minimize lapse time.
  • Dispatch claim settlement cheques on date of receipt.
  • Maintain an up-to-date daily diary system, taking effective steps to conclude outstanding issues.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within Commercial Claims.
  • Excellent Insurance knowledge.
  • Able to use own initiative.
  • Ability to work as a team player.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience/knowledge of handling retail claims.
  • Use of Acturis IT system.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Strong IT skills including all MS Office.

About the Role:

This is a permanent role with a salary between £30,000 - £35,000.
