Key Responsibilities:

As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial elements, estimating project expenses, and ensuring precise quantity surveying throughout the project lifecycle.

Your role will encompass:

  • Formulating and executing commercial strategies to enhance project profitability and ensure sustainable growth.
  • Managing contract negotiations to secure advantageous terms while minimizing risks.
  • Tracking project budgets, expenditures, and cash flow to uphold financial stability and meet financial objectives.
  • Collaborating with project teams to uncover opportunities for value engineering and cost efficiencies without sacrificing quality.
  • Leading commercial discussions and resolving disputes to achieve favorable results.

Cost Estimation:

Conducting thorough evaluations of project specifications, drawings, and requirements to accurately estimate material, labor, and overhead costs.

  • Preparing detailed and competitive bids and proposals that align with client expectations and project goals.
  • Utilizing industry-standard software and methodologies to produce precise estimates and cost forecasts.

Quantity Surveying:

  • Executing comprehensive quantity take-offs and measurements to accurately assess project scope and requirements.
  • Creating detailed bills of quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for tender submissions and project planning.
  • Conducting in-depth cost analysis and value engineering assessments to optimize project budgets and resource allocation.
  • Monitoring project progress and expenditures, identifying and addressing cost variations and discrepancies.
  • Providing expert guidance on contractual matters, variations, claims, and cost control strategies to mitigate risks and maximize profitability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial management, estimating, and quantity surveying within the steel fabrication sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and commercial negotiation techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex project specifications and drawings.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
