Spencer Clarke Group is seeking a qualified Functional Skills Tutor to work with migrant students in English and Maths. The successful candidate will be responsible for tutoring small groups of students, conducting baseline assessments, and managing differentiated learning.

The role is part of the Migrant Education, Employment and Adult Skills team and is integral to the Migrant Employment Framework, which supports newly arrived migrants into work or education. The focus will be on 16-19 year olds, with a co-ordinated approach linking school EAL to adult ESOL.

We are looking for someone with experience of teaching functional skills English and/or Maths in a further education or community setting. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the functional skills curriculum, have experience of conducting baseline assessments, and be an active and effective communicator.

This is a 25-30 hour per week role, with flexible working arrangements possible. The hourly rate is £29-£34, depending on qualifications.
