Functional Verification Architect

Job Summary:

The Functional Verification Architect will be responsible for the verification of the GNC subsystem (E2E) and will work closely with the top-level test/V&V plan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in functional verification and the ability to understand new concepts and apply them to engineering problems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsible for the verification of the GNC subsystem (E2E);
  • Responsible for reviewing the technical requirements alongside the top-level test/V&V plan;
  • Develop detailed Test Requirement Specification (TRS) for the GNC subsystem tests;
  • Responsible for ensuring the test plan is implemented/followed, tests are appropriately completed and documented;
  • Follow internal process defined by the AOCS/GNC competence center;
  • Closing out the requirements demonstrating the appropriate verification results for each requirement

Requirements:

  • A recognized engineering degree (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic) or a related degree (e.g., Physics, Maths)
  • At least 3 years of experience in the practical application of the domains relevant to the post (relevant MSc & PhD studies would also be considered)
  • Experience in one or more avionics verifications campaigns (either leading them or as an IVVQ/Avionics Verification engineer);
  • Flight operations
  • GNC solutions for space applications;

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate studies (MSc or PhD) with a focus on aeronautical / aerospace engineering.
  • Engineer with 5 or more years of experience in the practical application of the domains relevant to the post (relevant MSc & PhD studies should also be considered)

  • A strong background in functional verification
  • Capacity to understand new concepts and apply them to engineering problems
  • Good capacity to define and enforce processes
  • Good capacity to understand the context and tailor in advance the plan
