About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEN teacher to join our team at a mainstream primary school in Chesterfield. The successful candidate will work with a small group of children with diverse needs, providing inclusive learning support and fostering their academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver tailored educational programs that cater to individual children's needs.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement IEPs and provide comprehensive support.
  3. Utilise evidence-based behaviour management strategies to promote positive outcomes for children with SEND.
  4. Maintain open communication with parents and carers regarding their child's progress.

Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Demonstrate significant experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASD, ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Behavioural Difficulties
  • Possess a deep understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and its adaptation for learners with SEND
