Job Title: Inclusive Classroom Support Worker

Leader Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced support worker to join our team at an SEN School in Leeds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children who have special educational needs, including complex care, autism, speech and language, and other needs.

The school caters for children from 5 to 18 years old, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson planning
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and participation
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with children with complex needs
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology for teaching and learning purposes
  • Desirable skills: Makaton, PECS, BSL experience
