Job Title: Inclusive Classroom Support Worker

Leader Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join our team at an SEN School in Leeds. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have special educational needs, including complex care, autism, speech and language, and other needs.

The school caters for children from 5 years to 18 years, and the successful candidate will have strong classroom management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs in a classroom setting
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and inclusion
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive support system
  • Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning

Desirable Skills:

  • Makaton, PECS, BSL experience
