Construction Lecturer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Lecturer to join our team at Reed Further Education. As a leading recruitment agency, we work with colleges, prisons, universities, and training providers across Yorkshire and the North East.

About the Role

This is a part-time/full-time opportunity to teach and train students in various construction specialisms, including bricklaying, multi-skills, plumbing, electrical installation, and more. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry and be willing to work towards teaching qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality education to learners of all ages and backgrounds
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and training programs
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
Requirements
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS, PGCE, certificate in education)
  • Assessors' qualification (e.g., A1, D33/D34, CAVA, TAQA, IQA)
  • Level 3 or equivalent qualification in teaching subject area
  • Ability to manage challenging behavior
  • Experience interacting with 16–19-year-olds in education or apprentice settings
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance
